For as long as I can remember, my spare time has been filled with some kind of drawing and painting. I am drawn to painting florals with their delicate petals, vibrancy, and rich colour. I adore painting animals, bringing the spirit of each animal to life. I also try and capture my passion for Devon and the Cornish coast. I use oil paints to create the majority of my art. There is also a section on here where I have experimented with watercolour and inks.
As we head towards 2026 and the start of a new year, I've been updating my website; removing some old sections and updating others (including this home page). My passion to paint ebbs and flows, and I've not really been inspired to paint for a while. However, it is lovely to look back on here, at some of the work I have been inspired to create, over the years. My art room is full of old paintings and lots of paints. When time allows and I am inspired to create again, I will enjoy painting once more. Whilst my passion to paint has left me at the moment, our local pub - The Old Black Horse, has kindly been displaying one of my paintings.
The last painting I created was of a beach scene using watercolours and ink. I was asked to paint it for a friend, and it depicts their childhood memories of the South Coast of Kent. I named the watercolour Indelible Memories (see my Watercolours Section). I will certainly return to practising with watercolours again, in the future.
